Best Song: Blackbird
Worst Song:
Why RS gets it right:
Some truly iconic songs in this double album.
Why RS gets it wrong:
Reading a bit on the back-story, it's not suprising that this album is such hit or miss.
I really don't much care for most of George Harrison's stuff.
Is it Awesome?:
I wouldn't call it Awesome, Awesome is a pretty strong word- but I'd call it good.

#8 The Clash - London Calling
Artist: The Clash
Album: London Calling
Best Song: Train in Vain
Worst Song: Kola Kola
Why RS gets it right:
Really knows how to rock out, definitely an impassioned performance. The Clash has alot more depth than I had given them credit for, the title track is probably the only song I had heard on this album beforehand, and I had erroneously concluded that it was all going to sound like that, fortunately The Clash has a lot more depth than that.
Why RS gets it wrong:
I'm not sure what it is about the 80's that made it okay for singers to suck, but this is another album that fits that description, if they had a singer who didn't sound like he was falling down drunk the whole time, it would be a pretty good album. Alot of the songs seem to go on forever for no reason, seems like they never learned how to end a song. The more I listen to this album the less I like it.
Is it Awesome?: No, it's really not that good.

#7 The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street
Artist: The Rolling Stones
Album: Exile on Main Street
Best Song: Sweet Virginia
Worst Song: Let It Loose
Why RS gets it right:
This is a great, toe-tapping album that is fun to listen to, lots of upbeat tracks to jam out too.
Why RS gets it wrong:
Once again not as much depth as I'd like to see in an album, According to Wikipedia Mick Jagger agrees.
I'm not a hudge fan of Mick Jagger's voice on this album, and the mixing certianly doesn't help. I might try and get a different mix latter.
Is it Awesome?: Borders on being awesome, but really just a solid album.

#6 Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
Artist: Marvin Gaye
Album: What's Going On
Best Song: God Is my Love
Worst Song: Flying High (just doesn't seem to go anywhere)
Why RS gets it right:
Marvin Gaye, has an incredible sound and this album is really fun to listen to, he's very soulful and the album is a delight.
Why RS gets it wrong:
While I like Marvin Gaye's sound quite a bit, his songs all kind of sound the same.. I wish he explored more musically.
Is it Awesome?: Yes.

#5 The Beatles - Rubber Soul
Artist: The Beatles
Album: Rubber Soul
Best Song: In My Life/Michelle
Worst Song: Norwegian Wood
Why RS gets it right:
Yeah, it's another beatles album, not really a bad song on this one.
Why RS gets it wrong:
I guess my biggest complaint is that I've herd all of these songs so many times before, that they kind of loose their freshness/appeal.

#4 Bob Dyaln - Highway 61 Revisted
Artist: Bob Dylan
Album: Highway 61
Best Song: Like a Rolling Stone
Worst Song: It Takes a lot To Laugh, It Takes a Train To Cry
Why RS gets it right:
Incredible song writing (even if some of the melodies are traditional folk songs, and not bob dylan's creation)
Why RS gets it wrong:
Bob Dylan's voice is just kind of lousy, it's a true testament to his skill that he still is so good despite it.
Is it Awesome?: Yeah, it's pretty darn good!
